Sweepstakes Official Rules
1. Eligibility
The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older.
Age requirements may vary by state, with some locations like Alabama and Nebraska requiring
participants to be 19+, and Mississippi requiring 21+. Employees of Bold Afrika, its affiliates,
subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate family members are not eligible
to participate. The sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
2. Sweepstakes Giveaway Period
The sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time on December 21, 2025.
3. How to Enter
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL
NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
There are two (2) ways to enter this sweepstakes:
Method #1: Direct Online Entry

receive one (1) entry into the Online Entry Category.
Method #2: Social Media Entry (Instagram)
To enter via Instagram: (1) follow “@boldafrika” on Instagram; (2) like the official sweepstakes
post; (3) comment on the post with the hashtag #sweepstakes AND tag a friend to receive one (1)
entry; (4) submit the entry form at https://boldafrika.com/win via the link provided in Bold
Afrika’s Instagram bio to complete your entry into the Social Media Entry Category; and (5)
OPTIONAL: share the sweepstakes post to your Instagram Story with the hashtag
#BoldBreadMoment and tag @boldafrika to receive one (1) additional bonus entry in the same
week. Both comment and bonus story entry must comply with FTC disclosure requirements by
including the required hashtags, the entry form must include your name, address, phone number,
and email address, and indicate that you arrived via Instagram.
If sharing or creating any posts related to this sweepstakes, entrants must include the hashtag
#sweepstakes or #contest to comply with FTC disclosure requirements. By entering via
Instagram, you agree to the User Generated Content and Social Media Release terms in Section 9
of these Official Rules.
Each entrant must have a valid Instagram account to participate via Method #2. All social media
activities must comply with Instagram’s Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. Following
@boldafrika on Instagram and liking the post is required to complete direct entry, and entrants
must comment with #sweepstakes and tag a friend, then complete the entry form via the bio link
to be entered into the Social Media Entry Category.
Entry Limits: Limit one (1) entry per person, household, or email address per calendar week
during the Sweepstakes Period through the Online Entry Category (Method #1 or AMOE). For
Social Media Entry Category (Method #2), entrants may submit up to two (2) entries per
calendar week through Instagram: one (1) entry through commenting on the Instagram post with
#sweepstakes and tagging a friend, and one (1) bonus entry through sharing the post to their
Instagram Story with #BoldBreadMoment and tagging @boldafrika. Entrants cannot combine
Online Entry Category and Social Media Entry Category in the same week – they must choose
one category per week. Although subsequent attempts to enter within the same category and
week may be received, only the eligible entries as specified above will count; additional attempts
by the same person to enter beyond the limits, including entries submitted with an alternate email
address or Instagram account, will be disqualified. All entries become the property of Bold
Afrika and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Bold Afrika’s computer will be the official timekeeping device for the sweepstakes.
4. Winner Selection
There will be two (2) separate random drawings conducted each calendar week during the
Sweepstakes Period using Gleam.io platform:
Online Entry Category
One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received through
direct website visits and mail-in entries during that calendar week.
Social Media Entry Category
One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received from
entrants who indicated they arrived via Instagram during that calendar week.
Both drawings will be conducted every Monday via Gleam.io’s randomized selection process,
followed by manual verification of the entry form, by Bold Afrika or its designated independent
agent. Winner announcements will be made via Bold Afrika’s social media channels. Bold
Afrika’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this sweepstakes.
The odds of winning in each category depend solely on the total number of eligible entries
received in that respective category during each calendar week.
5. Prizes
Online Entry Category Prize
One winner will receive one month’s supply of Bold Afrika Bread consisting of five (5) loaves
delivered over a thirty (30) day period. Shipping and delivery fees will be paid by the Sponsor.
The approximate retail value (ARV) is $40. Prize fulfillment will begin within 30 days of winner
verification. Deliveries will be made to the address provided by the winner within Bold Afrika’s
delivery area. If winner is outside the delivery area, Bold Afrika may substitute the prize with an
equivalent value gift card or alternative fulfillment method at its discretion.
Social Media Entry Category Prize
One winner will receive one month’s supply of Bold Afrika Bread consisting of five (5) loaves
delivered over a thirty (30) day period. Shipping and delivery fees will be paid by the Sponsor.
The approximate retail value (ARV) is $40. Prize fulfillment will begin within 30 days of winner
verification. Deliveries will be made to the address provided by the winner within Bold Afrika’s
delivery area. If winner is outside the delivery area, Bold Afrika may substitute the prize with an
equivalent value gift card or alternative fulfillment method at its discretion.
Total ARV of all prizes to be awarded: $2,080 (2 winners x $40 each x 26 weeks).
Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.
Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Bold Afrika reserves the right to substitute
that prize for a prize of equal or higher value. Bold Afrika shall not be responsible for limitations
that prevent the acceptance or use of the prizes or any portion thereof.
The winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
6. Winner Notification and Verification
Each week’s potential winners will be notified within seven (7) days of that week’s drawing by
phone, email, or mail using the contact information provided in their entry forms.
Response Requirement: All potential winners must respond within seven (7) calendar days of
the date notification was sent. If Bold Afrika does not receive a response within seven (7)
calendar days, an alternate winner will be chosen.
After the winners are chosen, alternates may be selected on an as-needed basis in the event that
any winner is ineligible, declines the prize, fails to respond within seven (7) days, or cannot be
located.
Prize winners may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Waiver, and where
allowable, a Publicity Release (“Prize Forms”) in order to redeem the prize. Refusal to sign one
or more Prize Forms may result in disqualification at Bold Afrika’s sole discretion.
7. Entry Verification and Account Holder
In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the
“Authorized Account Holder” of the email address submitted at time of entry. “Authorized
Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet
access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning
email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Bold Afrika may
ask any entrant or potential winner to provide Bold Afrika with proof, to Bold Afrika’s
satisfaction, that such party is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with
the entry.
8. Privacy and Data Usage
As a condition of entering the sweepstakes, each entrant gives consent for Bold Afrika to obtain
and deliver his or her name, address, and other information to third parties, including
sweepstakes administrators, for the purpose of administering this sweepstakes and to comply
with applicable laws, regulations, and rules, including, without limitation, the storing of your
personal information for purposes of complying with state record retention requirements. Any
information entrant provides to Bold Afrika may be used to communicate with entrant in relation
to this sweepstakes or on a sweepstakes winner’s list.
Personal information collected from entrants is subject to Bold Afrika’s Privacy Policy (available
above and will not be shared with third parties except as necessary for
sweepstakes administration. By entering, you consent to receive sweepstakes-related
communications from Bold Afrika. You may opt-out of non-essential marketing communications
at any time.
9. Publicity Rights
By participating in this sweepstakes, each entrant grants Bold Afrika and its designees the
perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable right and license to:
a) Content Usage Rights:
– Use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and display any content, photos, videos,
posts, comments, or other materials submitted by entrant in connection with this sweepstakes or
Bold Afrika products (“User Content”)
– Incorporate User Content into Bold Afrika’s marketing, advertising, promotional materials, and
communications across all media platforms
b) Social Media and Identification Rights:
– Disclose and publish winner’s name, nearest major city and state of residence, social media
handle(s), and profile information
– Tag winners in social media posts, stories, and other digital communications
– Screenshot, share, repost, or otherwise use winner’s social media content related to Bold Afrika
or this sweepstakes
– Create derivative works based on User Content and winner informatio
c) Promotional Usage:
– Feature winners in press releases, website announcements, email campaigns, and other
promotional materials
– Use winner’s likeness, voice, biographical information, and statements in connection with
sweepstakes promotion and Bold Afrika marketing
– Display User Content on Bold Afrika’s websites, social media accounts, physical locations, and
in advertising materials
Bold Afrika may use the foregoing content with or without attribution to entrant and may edit,
modify, or crop such content at its sole discretion. No additional compensation will be provided
for such usage, except where prohibited by law.
By submitting User Content, entrant represents and warrants that: (a) they own or control all
rights to such content; (b) the content does not violate any third-party rights; (c) they have
authority to grant these rights; and (d) all content complies with applicable laws and platform
terms of service.
This release survives termination of the sweepstakes and continues in perpetuity unless otherwise
prohibited by law.
10. General Liability Release
Participating entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Bold Afrika and any
sweepstakes administrator, and release Bold Afrika, any sweepstakes administrator, and their
affiliated companies, and all other businesses involved in this sweepstakes, as well as the
employees, officers, directors and agents of each (the “Released Parties”), from all claims and
liability relating to their participation in the promotion, and the acceptance and use/misuse of the
prize offered.
Participating entrants assume all liability for and Released Parties shall be held harmless against
any liability for any injury, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including personal injury or
death, or injury to property caused or claimed to be caused in whole or in part, directly or
indirectly, by participation in this sweepstakes, acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the
prize, or any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy, or merchandise
delivery.
By participating in this sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold
harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all costs, claims, losses, injuries,
liabilities, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation in the
sweepstakes or any sweepstakes-related activity; receipt, possession, use or misuse of any prize;
violation of any personal rights, such as publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy;
unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process; and electronic or human error
which may occur in the administration of the sweepstakes.
Bold Afrika has not made any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or
in law, with respect to the prizes, including, without limitation, to the quality or fitness for a
particular purpose of the prizes.
11. Technical Issues and Sponsor Responsibility
Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered, or mass entries or entries generated
by a script, macro or use of automated devices are void. The Released Parties will not be held
liable for any failure of receipt of entries and take no responsibility for any entries which are lost,
delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid. The Released Parties are
not responsible for: or (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or
transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or
for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software
malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by
Bold Afrika on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web
site or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s
computer related to or resulting from participating in the sweepstakes.
Bold Afrika is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer,
administration of the sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize.
12. Limitation of Liability and Damages
BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT AGREES THAT TO THE EXTENT
PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
(A) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF
OR CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, WILL BE
RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION;
(B) TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY AND ALL CLAIMS,
JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO THE COST PRICE OF THE PRIZE
IN QUESTION, AND BOLD AFRIKA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT,
SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL COST, EXPENSE, LOSS OR DAMAGE SUFFERED BY A
PARTICIPANT EVEN IF SUCH COST, EXPENSE, LOSS OR DAMAGE WAS
REASONABLY FORESEEABLE OR MIGHT REASONABLY HAVE BEEN
CONTEMPLATED BY THE PARTICIPANT AND BOLD AFRIKA;
(C) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN
ANY AWARD FOR, AND ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES
ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL
DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL
OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), AND/OR ANY
RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED; AND
(D) ENTRANTS’ REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES (IF
ANY) AND ENTRANT IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR

IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES, PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES
WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY INJURIES, DAMAGES, OR
LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH,
OR TO PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF ACCESS TO AND USE OF ANY WEBSITE
ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR THE DOWNLOADING FROM
AND/OR PRINTING MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM SUCH SITE, AS
APPLICABLE. FURTHER, BOLD AFRIKA SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

PROVIDERS, VENUES OR ARTISTS; OR OTHER THIRD PARTY PROVIDERS
SUPPLYING ANY SERVICES OR COMPONENTS OF THE PRIZE(S) TO WINNERS
AND/OR THEIR GUESTS, OR FOR ANY RESULTING INJURIES, INCLUDING
MONEY DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES, PROPERTY DAMAGES, PERSONAL
INJURIES OR DEATH RESULTING THEREFROM.
13. General Terms and Conditions
By participating in the sweepstakes, entrant (i) agree to be bound by these official rules,
including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Bold Afrika
and any sweepstakes administrator, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the
sweepstakes. Failure to comply with these official rules may result in disqualification from the
sweepstakes.
By participating in the sweepstakes, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and
the decisions of Bold Afrika, which are final, and further agree to waive any right to claim
ambiguity in the Official Rules. Entrants who fail to comply with any of the Official Rules may
be disqualified at Bold Afrika’s sole discretion.
Bold Afrika reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process,
violates these rules, or acts in a disruptive manner. In the event of unforeseen circumstances
beyond Bold Afrika’s reasonable control, Bold Afrika reserves the right to cancel, terminate,
modify or suspend the sweepstakes, or any part of it, with or without notice, if events occur that
compromise the fairness or proper operation of the sweepstakes, such as fraud, technical
problems, or other circumstances beyond Bold Afrika’s reasonable control. In such cases, Bold
Afrika will make a final determination about how to proceed, and this decision cannot be
appealed or disputed. If, for any reason, the sweepstakes cannot be run as planned, Bold Afrika
may disqualify any suspect entries or individuals from the sweepstakes and any sweepstakes it
sponsors and (a) suspend the sweepstakes and modify the sweepstakes to address the
impairment, then resume the sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these
Official Rules; and/or (b) award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries
received up to the time of the impairment.
14. Legal Warning
ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO
DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER OR VANDALIZE THIS WEB SITE OR INTERFERE
WITH THE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL
AND CIVIL LAWS AND BOLD AFRIKA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK
DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH
INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
15. Social Media Disclaimer
This sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with
Instagram. Entrants understand that they are providing information to Bold Afrika and not to
Instagram. This promotion complies with FTC guidelines requiring clear disclosure that it is not
affiliated with social media platforms. Participants release Instagram from any liability related to
this promotion.
16. Disputes and Arbitration
DISPUTES: The parties hereto each agree to finally settle all disputes only through arbitration;
provided, however, the Released Parties shall be entitled to seek injunctive or equitable relief in
the state and federal courts in Delaware and any other court with jurisdiction over the parties. In
arbitration, there is no judge or jury and review is limited. The arbitrator’s decision and award is
final and binding, with limited exceptions, and judgment on the award may be entered in any
court with jurisdiction.
The parties agree that, except as set forth above, any claim, suit, action or proceeding arising out
of or relating to this sweepstakes shall be resolved solely by binding arbitration before a sole
arbitrator under the streamlined Arbitration Rules Procedures of JAMS Inc. (“JAMS”) or any
successor to JAMS. In the event JAMS is unwilling or unable to set a hearing date within
fourteen (14) days of the filing of a “Demand for Arbitration”, then either party can elect to have
the arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) or any other
mutually agreeable arbitration administration service. If an in-person hearing is required, then it
will take place in Wilmington, Delaware. The federal or state law that applies to these Official
Rules will also apply during the arbitration.
Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis and will not be consolidated with any
other proceedings that involve any claims or controversy of another party, including any class
actions; provided, however, if for any reason any court or arbitrator holds that this restriction is
unconscionable or unenforceable, then the agreement to arbitrate doesn’t apply and the dispute
must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Delaware. Bold Afrika agrees to pay the
administrative and arbitrator’s fees in order to conduct the arbitration (but specifically excluding
any travel or other costs of entrant to attend the arbitration hearing). Either party may,
notwithstanding this provision, bring qualifying claims in small claims court.
OPT-OUT PROVISION: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written
notice to Bold Afrika at 10015 Old Columbia Road, Suite B215, Columbia, Maryland 21046
within thirty (30) days of entering the sweepstakes. The notice must include your name, address,
and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of the arbitration agreement.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware,
without regard to conflict of law principles.
For entrants who opt out of arbitration or where arbitration is not permitted by law, any legal
proceedings relating to this sweepstakes shall be maintained exclusively in the state or federal
courts of Delaware, and entrants consent that jurisdiction and venue for such proceedings shall
lie exclusively with such courts.
